PPS Physical Therapy Patient Process
Our goal is for you to leave day 1 of your physical therapy treatment with a better understanding of your pain and exercises to initiate to provide you relief.
Pain is complex and often needs to be treated with a multi-modal approach.
Coupling together appropriate physical activity, medication/procedures, sleep hygiene, and nutrition.
It is critical to see a specialist who understands the sources of pain and can connect the dots between your complaints and your physical assessment. Therapy is not a one size fits all treatment, a physical therapy specialist in spine will find manual techniques and exercises to provide you relief with pain.
Everyone can always get stronger, but the skill of physical therapy comes from the manner and timing in which treatment is implemented.
Custom Treatment Plans will include:
- Patient Education
- Joint Manipulation/Mobilizations
- Massage Therapy, Cupping
- Dry Needling
- Cardio Exercise
- Functional Mobility
- Desensitization, Motor Imagery, & Mirror Therapy
- and more!
Meet Kevin Elavia, DPT
Dr. Elavia uses evidence-based practice with his extensive experience to treat orthopedic conditions with a focus on spine, chronic pain, headaches, vertigo/post-concussion, and TMJ conditions.
Physical Therapy with Dr. Elavia starts with a thorough, one on one assessment. Additionally, it is important to Dr. Elavia that your goals for therapy are heard. From there you will be educated on the findings from the assessment and a framework for your care will be established.
Dr. Elavia has found in his experience that it is important to connect all the dots and care for the individual, not just the diagnosis.
