Susan Jahn is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in pain management. She is a member of National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Susan began her professional life as a commercial architect. She worked in architecture for 20 years after receiving a Bachelors of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Her passion for medicine began while she was raising two children and caring for aging parents.
Susan volunteered in the recovery room of Hinsdale Hospital while attending the College of DuPage; then completed her Masters degree at the Rush University Physician Assistant Studies Program.
After an internship in vascular surgery at Rush Medical Center she worked in orthopedics, specializing in joint replacement and spine surgery.
Her surgery and recovery room experiences drew her to pursuing a career in pain management. She worked with a local pain management practice before joining Premier.
Susan brings empathy, compassion and an individualized approach to her patients. She strives to educate patients and engage them as active participants in the treatment team. She understands the importance of integrating multiple treatment modalities to improve the quality of life and functional capacity of patients suffering from chronic pain.
